Overview – Adventure Spirit, Botswana Safari
This small group, fully serviced mobile safari is designed for travellers with limited time who want to experience Botswana’s most iconic wilderness areas in comfort. Starting in Maun and ending in Kasane, the journey combines authentic adventure with spacious ensuite dome tents, hearty meals, and expert guiding — all with no participation required from guests. A maximum of nine guests per vehicle ensures everyone has a window seat, and soft drinks, water, and local alcoholic beverages are included throughout.
The itinerary begins with two nights in Moremi / Khwai, exploring riverine habitats on game drives and a mokoro (traditional dugout canoe) excursion. You’ll then spend two nights in Savuti, famed for its predators, elephants, and dramatic scenery shaped by the Savuti Channel. The journey concludes with two nights on the Chobe Floodplains, where vast herds gather along the riverbanks and a Chobe River cruise offers a close-up view of aquatic wildlife and birdlife.
By the end of this 7-day safari, you will have immersed yourself in Botswana’s most celebrated ecosystems, from the Okavango channels to the predator-rich plains of Savuti and the elephant-filled Chobe Riverfront.
Your guide will meet you at 07h30 at a pre-arranged meeting point in Maun. From Maun you will drive through to Moremi / Khwai, one of the best wilderness areas of Botswana which covers swamp and dry areas. The next two days will be spent searching for the wide variety of wildlife and birds that this area is renowned for, while absorbing the sounds and beauty of this region. Game drives in the early morning as the sun rises and in the late afternoon as the sun sets will be the norm.
Game drives to explore the region surrounding the Khwai River (North-east Moremi / Khwai Concession). A mokoro excursion (dug-out canoe)will take you along a tributary of the Khwai River to view game from another perspective and to experience this tranquil mode of transport.
Chobe National Park, with its diverse and striking landscapes, will be your next destination. As you continue your search for wildlife, you will traverse the drier region of Savuti where bull elephants dot the plains. Savuti is very well known for its predators such as lion, leopard, cheetah and even African wild dog. The Savuti Channel has started flowing again after being dry for the last 30 years. The arrival of water is changing the landscape as well as accommodating different species which historically have not been able to survive in the rather arid plaines of Savuti. This exciting event has allowed large breeding herds of elephant as well as buffalo to visit the area. Camping will be in private designated campsites with ensuite bush ablutions on every tent.
